Paris' sky was covered with thick cloud, and we were leaving France, taking a four-hour drive to the next country.
Bruges is a city in Belgium; unlike Paris, I felt the nature promptly surrounding me as we got of the bus, and the weather was also very fine.

Lakes, water ways, white gooses, and horse-drawn carriages were the first impression on me when we were heading to the center of the town.

In a lovely day like this, walking pass the road flanked by European-styled architectures, I found the combination of nature and culture so attractive that I really want to spend some more time here.

(watch the video: A hand-driving music machine attracted our eyes. However, when I stepped forward and wanted to record a video, the music abruptly went to an end.)

Inevitably, a boat trip is one of the features that tourists should never miss in this town surrounded by canals.

the restaurant sits beside the main square. We tasted a local food that I forgot its name; it is a kind of shellfish flavored with celery in a black pot.

In Belgium, buying chocolate is one of the must-do activities. I didn't buy some very special chocolate. Because the limitation of money, I only purchased a box of black chocolate.

The boat trip was scheduled at 4 pm, therefore we had a couple hours enjoy some leisure in the town.

Deviating from the main path, the world suddenly changed to an exact tranquility.

Just as before, the boat trip started with excitement not lasting more than 15 minutes. There was Chinese broadcast explaining history and stories about the architecture standing at the bank. But I did not listen to it at all, and the only one  interesting thing remained was waving to the people sitting on the bridge.

The day was almost ended as the boat returned to where we started.

Our boat driver looks so much like Willem Dafoe, Norman Osborn in Spider Man the movie.

Our dinner was prepared in a Chinese restaurant in the capital of Belgium, Brussels, and the hotel was just a few blocks away.
