After a week, my room was kind of mess, and because the dryer machine only accept £0.20 coin which I didn't have, I had to hang all the clothes in the room.

It was as hot as yester (actually, the heat wave sustained two weeks then). It was Tuesday, so we had some new classmates joining in: two Koreans, a boy and a girl, and a French girl. We talked about the Louvre Pyramid in the first morning class. At first, we all thought, as many other people, the combination of transparent pyramid and the old Louvre museum was inharmonious. However, after hearing an architect's opinion, I learned the integration of modern and ancient architecture, the relation between color and weight, which change my impression about the pyramid. In the second class, Rory wanted us to create our own architecture if we could built one in the square of Louvre, and I draw a big pond with a fountain. The idea that people could walk on the pound (the water was shallow and the pound had stone pavement) won Rory's compliment.

In fact, I started my "tube traveling" today, after buying my Oyster Card which is quite the same as Taipei MRT Easy Card. In the first week, I only bought two "Day Travelcard" which cost £4.90 on Monday and Friday; a "Week Travelcard" cost £22.20 for Zone 1 and 2. I walked every places by foot in the remain days of 1st week, thought that helped me recognize more about London, because in Underground I always didn't know where the direction is.

With Oyster Card, I could take the tube, bus, and DLR as many times as I wanted. I went to Leicester Square and wanted to buy a ticket of Blue Men Group for today in TKTS where half-priced tickets are sold. But there was no performance on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I took a time table of the movie theater and went to Tower Bridge.

I took Circle Line to Tower Hill station. Though it a little bit cooler inside the station, I felt extremely muggy in the carriage where there is no air conditioning, and, even worse, the train stop in the tunnel for about 10 minutes. Every one was sweaty and I felt like I was back in Taiwan.

Beside City Hall, there were many kids playing around the fountains. In a hot day liked that, I really wished I could join them.

I went to internet coffee and on my way back to the dorm at 20:00. In front of the Southwark station, I run into uncle and some people who were going to have a drink at pub (called the Anchor), so I jointed them and order a half-pint of Larger Shandy.
This picture was not took at that day; I didn't expect that I will go to a bar, because I don't like alcohol, and I was exhausted by the temperature. Therefore, I did not bring my digital camera with me when I went to the internet coffee; the photo was shot last friday when we were going to Tower Bridge.
