EF school. The first day, we walked to the school, and it only took 5 min to get there. The weather this morning was still not quite well, and I thought it would change as it did yesterday. But I was wrong.

The master of the school (the right one). I forget her name, but she is quite funny. In fact, the staff here all have lots of sense of humor.

We had to have a test to investigate our comprehension of English. The class we take will be base on our level which rang from 1 to 8. Test on computer included listening, reading and writing.

Because the restaurant (called Cafe Shop) is too small to have all of the students eat their lunch inside, there are barbecue and pasta served everyday in the central yard. We have a voucher for £6 each weekday, and the hamburger I ate today cost £2.

The first day afternoon, EF provided a boat trip on the River Thames, but we decided to go around on ourselves. We bought the underground tickets in Waterloo station and walked along the river from London Eye to House of Parliament.

The sky was a little bit dark, and I found that the water of River Thames is not as clean as I thought, it is brown. However, that doesn't mean the river is dirty, it is said that River Thames is one of the cleanest rivers in UK, its brown color is caused by the sand and dirt contained in the water.

Our first experience of the London Underground, or called Tube. London Underground system is quite old and kind of dirty. in the central area, most stations have 3 to 5 level beneath the ground, because there are many line intersect at a station. Each line has two platform in a station, which are indicated by Eastbound/Westbound, Northbound/Southbound or any combination of these. Most of the platforms are closed form, which means that one tunnel have only 1 rail and 1 platform, but I prefer an open one just like the Taipei MRT, because it won't make me feel so narrow. I was separated from the others in the Westminster station because there were many people on the platform and the door of the train closed without any alarm. Fortunately, it was not too hard to find my way to the Covent Garden station.

It rained when I step out the station, thought it was just small rain.

Covent Garden. I was not interested in the stuff here. Since I wanted to compare the price with other places, so I just hung around the place and did not buy anything.
| |||||||||
After visiting Covent Garden and Leicester Square, we went to Elephant & Castle and had our dinner in Tai Won Mein.

I ordered Singapore Fried Rice (£3.40), but it was too big, and I could only eat half of it.
